Dr. T. Cole founded Cole Dental Studio because she believes patients deserve to understand their own care — not just receive it.
Dr. Cole trained in general dentistry before spending several years in busy group practices across KwaZulu-Natal, where she noticed the same thing over and over: patients who'd rather avoid the chair than sit through another rushed, unexplained procedure.
So when she opened Cole Dental Studio in Morningside, she built it around one rule — every patient leaves understanding exactly what was done to their teeth and why. She went on to complete additional training in cosmetic dentistry and gentle paediatric care, rounding out a practice that treats nervous first-timers and long-time regulars with the same patience.
Today she leads a small, close-knit clinical team that shares her approach: modern equipment, honest advice, and appointments that never feel rushed.
Dr. Cole holds full HPCSA registration and keeps her toolkit current through ongoing continuing professional development.
Bachelor of Dental Surgery — full dental practitioner qualification.
Full practising rights with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
Specialised training in veneers, whitening protocols and smile design.
Behaviour-guidance techniques for children and nervous first-time patients.
General, cosmetic and family dentistry, with a particular interest in nervous patients and smile makeovers.
Restorative dentistry and patient education, known for taking the time to walk patients through their X-rays and options.
Supported by a dedicated team of dental assistants and hygienists who keep every visit running smoothly.
Ask Dr. Cole what keeps her energised after over a decade in dentistry, and she'll mention specific patients: the teenager who finally smiled in his school photo after braces, the grandmother who came back for a second filling without being asked twice, the toddler who now waves at the practice from across the parking lot.
She is most passionate about:
Slow, honest explanations for anyone who's ever avoided the dentist's chair.
Building good habits — and good memories — from the very first visit.
Smile makeovers that look natural, never overdone.
Catching small problems early, so they never become big ones.
